I use wooden spools & spatulas for cooking & baking. They are durable and natural. I keep them stored in an old crock, on my kitchen counter. I also have a drawer full of more utensils… but I think the wooden ones are the “prettiest”.
Which do you use, Drawer or container?

A flower pot… what a creative idea!
Hanging your cutlery is the perfect solution to limited space.
Here is a beautiful display of kitchen utensils on the set of the Martha Stewart show.

I use the Pampered Chef tool turn about. It’s not very decorative, but it holds up to 10lbs. and spins. I love it!
I have to use a gigantic countertop container since I have verrrry limited drawer space. I’d love the option to put the less attractive utensils in a drawer!
I’m a put it on the counter in the crock/pitcher AND I have a drawer full, too. I put the ones out that i use most often. I have so much company that the drawer ones get used with all our potlucks and lack of utensils most everyone brings – but it’s not big deal 🙂 It’s organized!

Organizing Made Fun
the 6 things i use most often hang on a rack next to the stove. The 1other thing lives in a drawer (its a stick mixer, it doesnt hang). I also have a knife block on the bench but I’m looking into one in a drawer. Definately count me amongst the drawer users tho, I hate cluttering my benchtop if I can help it.
Maybe Martha uses 5 different pastry brushes but for me, it just looks like clutter, or a bad case of too_much_stuff
All my utensils are stored in a drawer. This might have been some inspiration! While at the mall today I think I’ll be on the lookout for a pretty crock!
I have a crock a lot like yours. I picked it up at an antique market last summer.
I currently use a very pretty vase that looks hand painted but was actually purchased on clearance at Target for $3, and then I have a rather ugly bright orange tubberware tub. I need to find another vase or a crock because I don’t have enough drawer space to store other utensils in a drawer.
I put mine is a baby yellow jar AND I have a drawer full, too.
I linked. I used to have mine on the counter and I liked that but my counter space is so limited that I had to move them to a drawer…don’t know how long that will last.
Love the flower pot idea, my current container on the counter isn’t quite large enough, since my boyfriend moved in and now we have even more utensils!
I have my most used ones in a crock on the counter, the rest are in a drawer. My question is about what to do with ALLLL my cleaning brushes. I have a lot, I’m a little obsessed with fresh brushes and the right one for the job…but I do use the heck out of all of them. I want them within reach (so not under the sink with the Cascade) but looking organized if not pretty. Any ideas? I am thinking maybe just another crock like my utensils…but that wouldn’t hold the scrub brush types.
Okay… To get this out of the way… Why in the world did I use large linky boxes… I do not know. Lol… K.
IF you look back to day 21 of the organizing challenge, I show how I store my “brushes”. Right by my sink in easy reach! Thanks for the link ups, love getting inspired by all of you ladies!!!

This is a great idea. Thank you for hosting. I love all of the images, esp. the Martha Stewart display. I use drawers and transferware pitchers to house my kitchen utensils.
Have a great weekend,
Nancy
I have a black scroll holder on my counter for wooden spoons and silicon spatulas. The rest of the utensils are a mess in the drawer. I can’t wait to buy some non-slip stuff and organize those drawers!

Nice pictures. I usually store all my kitchen utensils in drawers, but I liked your idea to store in a flower pot.
I love buying for kitchen utensils from go-electrical.co.uk and I usually put it in a drawer.
