As the holidays get closer, we all get busier. Pageants, programs and parties overwhelm the calendar and seem to take over the normal routines and schedules. If you are feeling like you don’t know when you’re going to be able to clean your bathroom next, try a little Holiday Cleaning Container. Source your favorite supplies in a small bucket or caddy, add some cleaning cloths and a candle. Next time you have fifteen minutes, grab your Holiday Cleaning Container and clean the worst offender. Someone’s dropping by in an hour? No need to panic, grab your kit (everything’s where you need it) and do a little holiday quick clean.
(I use Basic H2or vinegar/water and add a little clove and lemon or orange essential oils to give the house a festive scent)
carpet refresher
(mix 1 cup of baking soda with 10-12 drops essential oil – keep in a tight container and sprinkle a little bit on carpet before vacuuming)
holiday scented candle
(light when you start cleaning, by the time you’re done, not only will you have something clean, but it’ll smell great too)
Keep your holiday cleaning container stored in an easy to access spot (under the kitchen sink, etc). Then whenever you need to, you can set the timer for 15 minutes and do a quick pick up & clean up!!
What will you put in your container?

I love your tips,
Where can I get the window/mirror cleaning cloth?
You can purchase them on my shaklee website http://simplyclean.myshaklee.com. There may be other stores that carry them as well. 🙂
Do you have any coupon for your subscribers ?
How many drops of the oils do you use in the all purpose spray? Also off topic a bit, I use the Shaklee liquid detergent in our front loader. How do I add the nature bright? I thought of adding it to the detergent but would that get clumpy in the pill out drawer?
I just use a couple drops of essential oil to a 16 oz. spray bottle….I add it, give it a little shake and spray. If I can smell the oil, then it’s good, if I can’t, I add another drop 🙂
I add nature bright to the liquid, but I can adjust the compartment for powder – if you can’t adjust the compartment, just dissolve the powder in a little water and then add it to your liquid detergent.
Definitely going to make one of these!! But not only for the holidays, this could be an all-year-round thing! Thanks for sharing!!
xx
I love this idea! Who makes or sells the white bucket? It is so much nicer looking that the usual yucky metal handles buckets.
