Spring is only getting closer, day by day, the sun is shing a bit longer than yesterday and soon the temperatures will rise and flowers will begin to sprout, trees will bud and new life will be all around us. Until then, many are still enjoying the beauty of a white backyard, icy treks to the store and evenings spent comfy and cozy cuddled by the fire. Warm or cold outside, any time is a great time to read a book and our book club certainly encourages that! This month we’re reading The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline and, I’m pleased to announce that our pick for March is, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
You can purchase your copy of The Nightingale HERE.
If you haven’t yet done so, you can join the book club Facebook group where many of us gather for extra conversation, book suggestions and even book sharing! We also meet each month to hold our group discussion so I hope you’ll join us on February 26th, all day, as we discuss The Orphan Train.

I’m really excited to read this book! I’ve loved the last two selections so I have faith this Nightingale will be just as delicious to read. I particularly loved Orphan Train, which I powered through in about 5 hours last weekend. It was moving and inspiring and I’ve already recommended it to friends.
I read Orphan Train last year and it was really good. I have the Nightingale on hold at the library and they just called to let me know it was ready, so I’ll be reading along! 🙂
I missed January but will go back to it so I have them all.
I’ve been raving about Orphan Train to the avid readers I know and found out that the father of a family friend came to Saskatchewan on an orphan train. The family needed help on the farm…
Orphan Train we loved. The Nightingale is on our club’s list next I think. Right now we are reading Magdala by Valerie Gross. A Coming of age story of Mary Magdalene, it’s been quite the conversation starter for our group, really a good read. magdalathebook.com is the site for it’s info. I hope that The Nightingale is good, we are on a roll of good reads and we would like to keep in that way!
