Decorating is one of my favorite things to do. But since we are trying to sell our home, I havn’t been able to attempt too many “decorating projects”. Honestly its been driving me nuts. I am a project type of girl so I am going crazy not being able to paint something or move something around.
Since painting is out of the question, I am still happy to spice up my walls. My husband took me out on a date Saturday, and while waiting on a table at the Cheesecake Factory, we stopped in to Restoration Hardware (Its right beside CKF). Restoration Hardware has some gorgeous subway art that I have had my eye on for a while now. This one in particular is $650!! Wowza. Im totally not paying that price.

But I still like the sign, and was so happy to find one at Hobby Lobby.
Hobby Lobby = Designer decor for less.
The little decorating I get to do has been a sigh of relief here and there. It keeps me from insanity. I picked up this subway art at Hobby Lobby for 50% off this weekend and a cute pillow that somehow ended up being $1.50. I was so excited about the great deals I got.

I don’t decorate with subway art but looking at your space I think maybe I should. It looks lovely. 🙂
wish i had a hobby lobby near me-love that sign and looks great in your room
I wish we had a hobby lobby because OH MY GOSH I am obsessed with that pillow!! I want! sooo cute! love the subway art too!
Thanks. You can find so much at Hobby Lobby. Its a fabulous place. 😉
So cute! I love your blog. Such an inspiration to me! Ladies…you can get a lot of stuff on Hobby Lobby’s online shop. I don’t have one clost to me either, so that is what I do. I know it is not the same as enjoying the LARGE MECA shop, but at least it is something, right? 🙂
Wow you did an amazing job! I would never pay that much either for art….I’m a real cheapo
Ooooh, what great deals! They look like they were made for your room. 🙂
I love your new subway art! I hope they get some in at my Hobby Lobby. I own two pieces of subway art, but I’m tempted to put one in each room of my house. I like them that much. But I suppose that would look a little weird. 🙂
Is your entire house painted white or cream/beige? I see that the bedroom isn’t quite white, but is very light. I love how clean and crisp everything looks. Is that why you stick to white? Are they different shade of white… or just basic white in most rooms? Thanks!
Lesley every room in my house is white-white. I like it that way because its easy to touch up the paint and I can switch out decor anytime I want and not have to worry about a “fad” color going out of style. Plus it makes my house look much bigger. 🙂
Thanks! That makes sense! We are almost done doubling our house with a very large addition. I have been trying to figure out paint colors. This would make things so much easier. I think I might do this!!! I love the way your house looks. Thanks for the reply.
One more thing… Did you just get one big bucket and do all walls and ceilings the same exact finish and everything??? thanks!
Im not sure. The builder did it all for us.
