This year, I simplified my Christmas decorating to the bare minimum. I also cleaned out all of my holiday decorations, placing the ones we no longer use in our donation station. There were many old ornaments that were hideously ugly, lights that no longer worked, and decorations that were falling apart. It was easy for me to purge these… making room for “space”. I am now 2 boxes lighter in the decoration department! It feels great. 🙂

It looks gorgeous Toni… I have my mantle done too, I will have to post a pic! I love the simplified look. It’s funny, I was just telling Amber today that I have a lot less Christmas decor than in the past… It is refreshing 🙂 However, I do intend on making my way to Hobby Lobby soon. 😉 I got a new tree this year and am decorating it differently than before… my garland is ribbon and I have cream roses tucked in the branches… I adore it, but it is still a work in progress… I LOVE your blog… I LOVE to talk decor and organization. I posted inspirational, because it really is! Perhaps I will start back the “Black Ribbon Interiors” blog…
Thank you Jolene! I loved it when you posted on your decorating blog.. Its always great to get new ideas. Thanks for visiting my blog. :0) Come back soon. I hope to post regularly.
I called you Jolene… duh. JolenAAAAAA~~ 🙂 I have a friend named Jolene. Where is my brain.
This photo reminds me of that meme with the “framed photo of a ceiling fan” http://9gag.com/gag/6068579
