Having a hard time finding the right gift for someone? Or finding the perfect gift actually in stock? Don’t forget to look online. This year, I decided that instead of fighting the crowds, I would purchase as many gifts online as I could possibly find. It has been just fabulous. I started shopping early (to get the best selection) and most of my shopping came from Amazon because I am an Amazon Prime member (love it) and get free 2 day shipping on almost everything I order. I saved a lot of gas and a lot of headaches. So it was a no brainer for me this year. I found everything I needed online, in stock. Whether you shop online or in the stores, choosing the right gift is the most important thing. My top gifts this year are…
1. The Rainbow Loom – What is all the craze about this item? Whatever it is, my kids are hooked. They love it and can’t get enough. So this gift gets my #1 spot.
2. Fugi Istax Mini 8 Instant Camera – Photography is totally “in” right now. Everybody is taking pictures, whether they are using a polaroid camera or a DSLR top of the line. This instant camera is #2 on my list this year for its cute stylish design and easy to use functionality.
3. Project Life – The #1 hobby right now is Project Life. If you have a sister, daughter, mother, or friend, this gift is sure to bring a smile to their face. It’s scrapbooking simplified. No cutting or pasting involved. Project Life earns the #3 spot on my list this year.
4. Kindle Fire HD- Move over iPad, the Kindle Fire is “on fire”. Have someone in your family who is hard to buy for? This gift is sure to wow them. The Kindle Fire is the perfect gift for someone who loves to read, watch movies, & surf the web. This gets my #4 pick.
5. Epson Picturemate – Last but certainly not least is the Epson picturemate printer. If you know someone who loves to take pictures or loves scrapbooking, this printer is a must have. It prints 4×6 and smaller pictures instantly from your computer or memory card. Its simple to use and its portable.
These 5 gifts are my top picks for holiday gift giving this year. Have a blessed holiday season and happy shopping!

Toni … I LOVE shopping online! No crowds, no crazy parking lots, no exhaustion, no waste of time!
Here’s the 11 gifts that I think are the best ever –

Thank you for all the inspiration you’ve given me this year … a blessed Christmas to you and all those you love!
Can you please tell me what type of case is pictured on the Kindle Fire. It looks pretty durable! Thanks 🙂
There’s no doubt that buying gifts online can be very convenient and at times economical, but I can’t help thinking of all the shopkeepers and small family business stores that keep waiting for the local customers that will never show up because they’ve bought all their gifts online. I don’t mean this as a negative comment AT ALL as I like and enjoy your blog very much! and it is certainly not personal, just a general comment and plea for people to please remember also their local shops and boutiques, who for some reason can’t have an e-shop. Their welcoming smile, their kind advice and warm appreciation of your support in the christmas spirit can add to the loveliness and humanity of Holidays 🙂 Amazon is great also, there’s no doubt, but personally I’d use it more for rare finds, or items that can’t be found locally. Thanks for the opportunity to express my view here. And Merry Christmas!!! (PS I don’t have a store, neither does anyone in my family, but seeing all the small family business that close down makes me sad)
Absolutely. I do love to shop the local stores too. That is where I find the unique gifts for my family. Shopping online is a convenience for people who are super busy like me. Thanks for reminding us to remember the local businesses. 😉
Bought the rainbow loom for my niece after finally being introduced to it by my niece and nephew on the other side of my family. I love the idea of a gift for kids that gets their hands moving on something other than a keyboard:). Also that little printer looks like a gift to put on my wish list! Good ideas here!
i love the idea of that camera!!! that is so cool. the link you listed says the product ships from japan but in the comments they say it ships from NY. did you have any issues with shipping, etc?
I didnt have any issues. Mine shipped within a couple days.
Love these ideas!
Our first year with Amazon Prime. I got an offer from American Express Blue Cash that said if I spent $1000 in 3 months amazon prime was free……Christmas shopping took care of the $1000 and now I can enjoy Prime all year……
I am in my 60’s, and all the small businesses where my parent’s shopped are gone. I remember a furniture store owner giving my mother a lamp when she purchased a sofa and chairs. I like Amazon a lot! But for me there is nothing like getting to know store owners and supporting local businesses in your community.
I love my Fuji Instax! Great gift idea. 🙂 Thanks for all the ideas. I may be too old for it, but I am interested in this whole LOOM thing. 🙂 Merry Christmas!
These are all great gift ideas, my girls have been asking for the rainbow loom for quite sometime now, so it makes my shopping so much easier! Happy Holidays!
Hi! I agree with you — the Rainbow Loom and the Kindle Fire are great gifts! I got my kids Rainbow Looms earlier this year, and they use them all the time! They even go to Rainbow Loom sleepovers — I got them tackle boxes so they can easily tote their Rainbow Looms and supplies whereever they go. The totes help them to keep their loom bands very organized! I got my husband a Kindle Fire (even though he insisted he didn’t want one), and now he is always on it, playing old 80s music videos (he’s hooked!) and catching up on the news, etc.
