Everyone who is still hanging in there, you are doing an awesome job! I know its hard to juggle your time and organizing can be so time consuming. Trust me, after this 21 days, you will be giving yourself so much more time. You will no longer be spending time searching for things in the clutter! Your home will be finally organized!
Today we will be tackling the Laundry Room or laundry closet… wherever your washer and dryer live. This space should be clutter free, organized and functional. After I finished my laundry room organization, I was so relieved. It reallly does make a difference, once its complete. So no more waisting time, lets get started!

Remember my organizing process today. Don’t make this space more difficult than it needs to be. Concentrate on the basics:
keep, toss, donate, containerize & label.
Also, remember to take your donation box to the local Goodwill, etc. You dont need to keep this stuff hanging around!

My laundry room was a disaster area, a junk closet, and a depressing place to be. I needed organization in there and fast! So, I went shopping for some in-expensive storage to organize this space and found some great stuff at Big Lots!
Here is my before picture.
I don’t even know what all I had in here.
This was a lot of “get rid of” stuff that needed a place to live until my garage sale this spring.
Here is the after shot! I found these great “Febreeze” bins at Big Lots for $3.00 each!
They were perfect for this space.
I labeled each bin with the necessary category…
Delicates
Dry Clean
Hangers
Socks
Over the dryer storage for more hangers & Clothes pins
Easy to use pump bottles for my Get Clean detergent & softner, go on my dryer for easy access. They smell so good!
Baskets are great for storage and look pretty too! I use this one for rugs.
Over the washer storage bins for Stain Removal & Delicates care.
More bins for bleach & extra detergents/softners.
I love the end result here. Its amazing what some container-izing can do to a space!
One more time…
Before
and
After
A fabulous laundry room re-organization!
If you are wondering where all the stuff went… What we didn’t want/need went to the garage for my spring sale!

21 day challenge, before and after, Laundry Room, Organize Posted in 12 comments
I am glad this is next. I did this a few weeks ago but it could do with a freshen up and also I will use the time to catch up on my washing and folding.
Containers really do make things look so pretty and neat and I love the baskets!! I especially love the 2nd basket that you use for rugs. That’d make a cute photo prop. Do you mind me asking where you got it from?
beautiful laundry room. this badly needs to be done. great day to do it too since i need to do laundry!
I love your laundry room. So organized and the clothespins in the jar are an adorable touch!
I believe I got my basket from Home goods but its been 2-3 years ago. I originally bought it for a photography prop! ๐
Hey Toni! Hope you don’t mind that I added a few old post links since I did my laundry “room” last year…and yes I’m calling it a “room”…lol Thought it might inspire some others who don’t have large facilities. Also added a link for a post that I gave suggestions to my friend in South Africa for organizing her laundry room. Hope this helps, fondly, Roberta
Your laundry room looks great!!! I dont know if its my blogger but this post was not showing up on my dashboard. I had to actually go to your blog to see that you posted todays challenge.
Looks great. Something I really need to do at some point. My shelf is pretty full.
New follower. I would love it if you stopped by, looked around, comment freely, and enjoy!

so, so pretty! I’ve already done our laundry room, but I like looking at yours and other people’s projects.
Your organized laundry room makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I love those bins from Big Lots. I have a million places I could use them. If only there were a Big Lots near me. I digress. My laundry room (I’m using that term very loosely.) is in my unfinished basement. I’d love to do something to spiff it up a but we are in a rental. Plus I don’t spend much time down there. Spiders = Heebie Jeebies.
Wow. I totally need to get on board with this. ๐ But my laundry room is in my basement and my basement is a 21 day project by itself. I could do the little laundry shelf, though.
Hey Girlie! I’m lucky #100…WOO HOO! It feels SO good to be done with this room. Thank you for the inspiration!
Smooches!
