We’ve cleaned and organized the freezer… so now we need to do the same with the refrigerator. Let me just tell you, mine was LONG overdue! To be honest, I don’t think I have ever completely taken out everything (including the shelving and drawers) to clean it.
Use the same technique you did to clean & organize your freezer. Containerize using lots of bins, if you have them. Make sure to take your before & after pictures!
If you are new to the challenge, click on the button below to see what it’s all about and join in!
This time it all came out! 🙂
This picture shows the door shelving and all that was in them.
Here is a “before the cleaning” picture, after everything was removed.
Embarrasing, I know! Ewww…
I took a bucket full of hot water and squirted a few drops of Get Clean Dish Wash Concentrate in it, grabbed my sponge and started scrubbing! This stuff smells divine!
I used my Basic H degreaser for the really dirty areas. It worked well! Also, its non-toxic because who wants to use toxic cleaners where their food goes? I don’t!
This” after” picture doesn’t do the fridge justice. It was sparkling clean!
I was so proud of myself. It looks new again.
After I was finished, I filled the fridge back up. This is an empty fridge in our house. I waited until I had to go grocery shopping before I cleaned it out. Less mess to empty.
I added two bins from the Container Store. They are great for just about everything. I used these for my fruits and veggies.
The crispy clean drawers.
I containerized the condiments for easy access.
Deli and cheese drawer.

AWESOME!! This so needs to be done and I almost did that! I did clean the outside of the door today but stopped my self! Cant wait to tackle this tomorrow!!
I just did mine last week – and like you, I had waited until most of the food was gone {we didn’t grocery shop for a month}! I used the Shaklee window cleaner and I cannot stop looking at it sparkle everytime I open the door!

Toni I have to share with you about my grandma. My mom told her that I was doing this challenge so she decided to join in on Day 10. She doesn’t get on the computer at all so I have been keeping her informed and she calls me each night to tell me how she has done. As of tonight she has completed all the challenges!! She rocks!! She is so thankful that she is doing this and even more so that I am keeping her on track. So I wanted to say THANK YOU to you for coming up with this challenge!
