I found these cd boxes on clearance at Target last week. The whole collection is getting clearanced out. My “vintage-aka 1990’s” cd collection has been stored in one big box (where I could not utilize them).
I have since organized them by genre & in alphabetical order and put them in my living room (that is until I get a cabinet from Ikea to put the media stuff in).
I have dvd organization in sleeves (and threw out the cases), but I really wanted to keep the cases for the music cds, since the list of songs are on the cases.
*I see a Christmas Kenny Chesney cd that needs placed in the holiday box!
I have 6 boxes for 6 different genres:
Holiday
Christian
Top 40’s
Rock
R&B
Country
Oh, how I wish we had a wall mounted tv that was about 30″ smaller!
Now we can jam to some Backstreet Boys any time we want. (I was more into NKOTB myself… but that was more like the late 80’s wasn’t it?). 😉
This was a simple organization project that only took about 20 minutes!

Ha, vintage? I like that. I must be vintage too! I have convinced my hubby to get rid of most of our CDs and he’s mostly kept Pet Shop Boys and Duran Duran….and got rid of everything else 🙂 Most of the other stuff he put on his Ipod so he’s happy.

Organizing Made Fun
I just packed all my husbands EMPTY cd cases into 2 large boxes, i would have to have 30 of those to fit is crazy collection, not something I want to showcases. I like these, except I think I would feel ours with all of my husbands video games! (something that I would love to hide lol

We have storage at the bottom of the bed and my cd’s live in there, they are easily accessable but I have most of them either on my pc or ipod, but I just can’t bare the thought of giving them away. They are part of me 🙂

I cant bear throwing these away. I told my husband that these will be so neat for our grandchildren to have. Each and every cd was purchased because I loved something about it. They all represent a certain time in my life that has meaning. Sounds corny but true. Boys to men- high school dances… No Doubt-when I met my husband in San Diego, and the list goes on. I love all of them. 🙂

I put my CDs in a case with sleeves along with the little booklet that comnes in the CD case. They are a little bulky that way, but I don’t have very many CDs anyway LOL
My husband has 2 big binders with sleeves — one for CDs and one for DVDs! I keep my DVD’s in 3 boxes.
Those are awesome boxes! Hope my target has some if I can ever get there (it’s an hour away blech!)
I wish our TV was smaller too lol!
