Everywhere we look these days: in magazines, blogs, stores, etc… we see numbers. Its all the craze. They are fun & charming, but a lot of times carry a hefty price tag.
I decided to try making some {number} decor myself (with my Silhouette SD Machine). There’s NO WAY I’m going to pay those prices for home decor. What would Dave Ramsey think of me? lol. I consider myself pretty crafty, so it couldn’t be that hard, right? 😉
You can find these jars {here]. They are priced at $79.
Targets numbered jars
Here is my attempt at number jars. I got my jars for $3.00 at Goodwill. I ran them through the dishwasher and they look like new again! I didn’t like how big the numbers were in the above picture, so I made mine quite a bit smaller. I think they turned out great, for $3.00!
Here are the pitchers, $59 for the set of 3…
Im on the lookout at Goodwill for some white pitchers now!

While I was numbering my kitchen, I kept on going and numbered the chairs 1-4. 😉 Getting a little crazy with the numbers, I know… but at LEAST the vinyl is just a “sticker” and comes off easy.

What a great find in your thrift store. If only I could be so lucky. They look lovely.
The more I read about the Silhouette, the more I want one!
I love your jars more than the examples you showed! They’re SO cute!
making life a Bliss
I didn’t know they did that. You are so inspiring. Love the jar’s. Like yours better than Target !
I love the whole look you’ve done, so neat! I am also excited about the chance to win a Silhouette, I am a quilter & would love to what it could do for me in cloth. I’d love to try the vinyl for lettering inspirational phrases as well. Thanks
I am a new follower.
I love your jars! You did a wonderful job. I like yours better then any you showed us. Dave would be so proud! I tried to click on your link for the Silhouette but it didn’t work.
Can’t wait to see what else you do 🙂
Thanks ladies. Im so glad you all like the jars. I wasnt sure if the smaller numbers looked as good. 🙂
love the jars
You sure lucked up finding those at the Goodwill!! They look terrific! My husband ordered me a Silhouette for our anniversary but it hasn’t got here yet! I’m anxiously waiting on it’s arrival!!
The jars are absolutely fabulous. Finding suitable jars at Goodwill is a shopping triumph.
I have chairs like yours, the oak style with the carving that really got popular about twenty years ago. I’ve been thinking about painting them white, but wasn’t sure if it would go well with all the carving. Seeing yours has reassured me that it would work out fine. Did you spray paint yours? I was thinking of doing liquid sandpaper and then spray painting.
We brushed the paint on ours, but Im sure you could also spray paint. Painters touch spray paint has a color called Heirloom white. Its awesome!

OH!! I love it!! I love how your jars came out! 🙂
VERY impressive! I love your thrifty project with the jars and the chairs both! When I was in Napa, I picked up some white ceramic napkin rings, each with a black number on them. I actually stacked them and displayed them in my hutch when not in use!
Amy, I would love to see a picture of you rings. 😉

I’m loving the numbered kitchen!
Your Goodwill has some awesome things! Mine never has anything good. Love these jars, I would have bought them in a MINUTE and probably paid more for them. $3 is a steal.
That’s very cute! you can do so many things with those machines. Lots of my scrapbook friends have them.
looks great Toni. I like yours better too!!
Those are all so fun!
Love it! Is your vinyl glossy or matte?
Thank you!
HEY, I have my utensil jars that are waiting for pay day so I can get some vinyl to throw some numbers on them! I’m even more excited now that I saw yours! CUTE! I love the numbers on the chairs too. AWESOME!

I love everything that you’ve done with your vinyl!!
I love the numbers on the canisters and chairs. Great job!
Oooh, I love those jars!! Which Goodwill do you shop at? The chairs look great too. I got a Silhouette for Valentine’s Day, and haven’t had a chance to get it out of the box yet!
Besides the fact that yours are exactly the way you wanted them, don’t you feel like you triumphed over the universe, having paid only $3? Good work, lady!
I sure wish I had a silhouette so I could label everything like this too!
I just found your blog and have spent most of the morning reading thru all your posts! I love it! I am crazy about these canisters but do not have a silhoutte, trying to hunt down the ones pictures from Target but cannot find them on website! Do you have the link by chance??
Thank you!
Hey there! I’m so loving numbers these days too! I love what you did with yours! I hope I find some beautiful white pitchers at my Goodwill too!
